ECU Remap — Stage 1
No other engine modifications are required. I do a full diagnostic scan of the vehicle with a reputable (Autel) scanner prior to undertaking any work. The ECU is then read and this data is used to write a map specifically for your vehicle. It will unlock more power, torque and depending on your driving style, more MPG from your engine.
Typical gains: 15–30% power increase depending on vehicle and fuel type.

Full details →Gearbox Remap (TCU Calibration)
Automatic, DSG, and DCT transmissions can be significantly improved with a gearbox remap (TCU calibration). Shift times are reduced, torque limits raised to match an upgraded engine map, and the overall character of the gearbox can be changed to suit performance or comfort preferences. Often done in combination with an ECU remap for best results.

Not every remap is about maximum power. Economy maps prioritise fuel efficiency, softening throttle mapping and optimising injection timing to reduce consumption — particularly effective on diesel vehicles and high-mileage drivers. A calibration written for a van fleet or a daily commuter is very different to a performance map, and I'll tailor it accordingly.

Many modern marine diesel engines — including common-rail inboard units from Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Mercury and others — run ECUs that respond well to calibration. I can optimise fuelling, torque delivery and throttle response for improved performance and efficiency on the water. Economy maps are particularly effective on displacement hulls and long-passage vessels, where even a modest improvement in fuel burn makes a meaningful difference over a season.

Running multiple vehicles? Fleet economy remapping is one of the most cost-effective things you can do to reduce fuel spend across a working vehicle pool. Every vehicle in your fleet gets its own custom-written calibration rather than a one-size-fits-all file — because a Transit Custom does different work to a Sprinter, and both deserve a map that reflects that.
I work directly with the fleet manager, come to your depot or yard, and can turn vehicles around one at a time to minimise operational disruption.

Alientech has started releasing remaps for some hybrid and electric vehicles, offering increased range. Availability depends on the model, so send me your make, model and year and I'll confirm what's possible.
A note on pricing: Prices are starting price. The exact price will depend on the vehicle and the remapping method required. Where an ECU has to be removed from a vehicle or, for vehicles with more than one ECU, the price will increase. All prices include VAT. As part of the initial conversation, I will confirm the exact price you will pay.
