Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
| Category | Purpose | Can be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for core site functionality, such as remembering your cookie preferences and protecting our enquiry form via reCAPTCHA. | No — these are essential and not optional. |
| Functional | Used by Formspree to process and deliver your enquiry form submission when you choose to contact us, and by Bensky's vehicle gains checker, which loads only when you open it. | No — only set when you submit a form or open the gains checker. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our site, so we can improve it. Collects anonymised usage data. | Yes — only set with your consent. |
| Advertising | Google Ads conversion tracking tells us which of our Google search ads led to an enquiry, so we don't spend money on ads that don't work. We don't use it for remarketing or personalised ads. | Yes — only set with your consent. |
Google Analytics and Google Ads use Google Consent Mode. Before you make a choice, or if you decline, Google's tags still run on our site in a restricted mode: they don't set or read cookies, and send only limited signals (for example, that a page was viewed or an enquiry was sent) which Google uses to estimate results in aggregate.
3. Specific cookies we use
- hp_cookie_consent — stores your cookie preference choice. Strictly necessary. Expires after 12 months.
- Google reCAPTCHA cookies (_GRECAPTCHA and related) — set by Google to distinguish humans from bots on our enquiry form. Strictly necessary for form security. See Google's cookie policy.
- Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid and related) — set only if you accept analytics cookies. Used to measure site usage anonymously. See Google's cookie policy.
- Google Ads cookies (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw and related) — set only if you accept advertising cookies. Used to link a click on one of our ads to an enquiry. Expire after 90 days. See Google's cookie policy.
- Bensky vehicle gains checker — loaded from Bensky's servers only when you open the "Check your gains" bar. Bensky may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the tool; see Bensky's privacy policy.
- Formspree — does not set cookies on page load; processes your data only at the point you submit the enquiry form. See Formspree's privacy policy.
4. Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit our site, you'll be shown a cookie banner where you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences in detail. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the link below.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the functionality of our enquiry form.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
